Rab is (when not working) a Re-enactor, Wargamer, and lover of obscure rock music of old (hence the hippie part). Based in the West of Scotland, he is a member of the Earl of Loudoun's Regiment of Foote, a re-enactment group that is part of the English Civil War Society and for the last 35 years traveling the length and breadth of the country and beyond, playing the part of Scottish soldier of the 17th Century.
Relatively new to the wargaming scene, Rab is clearly an addict, playing all sorts of Historical games; mainly at his club - Glasgow & District Wargames Society.
Musically from his early teens he has been avid follower of Hawkwind and other prog rock bands of the 1970s.
